Mission
The mission of the Iowa Pupil Transportation Association is to serve as a resource for school administrators, supervisors, mechanics, drivers, and the Iowa Department of Education in the upgrading of Iowa's pupil transportation program.
The mission of the Iowa Pupil Transportation Association is to serve as a resource for school administrators, supervisors, mechanics, drivers, and the Iowa Department of Education in the upgrading of Iowa's pupil transportation program.
It shall not be the function of the IPTA as a group to form, support, promote, or participate in any activity relating to the collective bargaining of employees at the state or local levels.
Eligibility
Any person having administrative, supervisory, or direct oversight responsibilities for the transportation of students to and from school and school related activities. This would include public or nonpublic school administrators, transportation supervisors, school bus maintenance personnel, school bus drivers, secretaries, dispatchers, and driver trainers. Other persons interested in the safe and efficient transportation of students are also welcome as members.
Membership Year
The membership year for IPTA coincides with the fiscal school year beginning July 1st and ending June 30th of each year.
